Firm to explore urban green infrastructure to mitigate flood | The Guardian Nigeria News


Big 5 construct Nigeria has pledged to explore the significant of urban green infrastructure in mitigating flood in Lagos in its forth-coming conference.

According to the firm, Lagos is a city prone to severe flooding challenges which needs to be addressed.

Speaking ahead of the conference, Country businesses manager, Bosch Nigeria, Samson Ajayi said the aim of the conference is to address flooding for the advancement of the construction sector.

The conference he said will address the common pitfalls leading to project failures in construction.

“For the first time, Bosch Nigeria will participate in Big 5 Construct Exhibition, where we’ll showcase the GWS 30-230 from our Power Tools division—a new angle grinder engineered specifically for heavy-duty construction applications. We’ll also feature the GRL 600 rotational laser from our Measuring Tools section, offering 360° precision, along with a selection of accessories and our latest car technologies, all designed to meet specific needs of construction activities,” Ajayi stated.

Also speaking, Portfolio Director Construction, dmg events, Mehtap Gürsoy said: “We’ve seen a significant surge in demand for international exhibitors, particularly from Turkiye and the UAE. The influx of international companies showcasing cutting-edge products, innovations and solutions at Big 5 Construct Nigeria paves the way for more advanced technologies, sustainable materials and modern construction practices to Nigeria.”

The conference which is to commerce tomorrow 24 to September 26 in Lagos will host 9,000 visitors and over 150 exhibitors from 20 countries.
Speakers for the conference are; Assistant Chief Architect, Lagos State ministry of works and infrastructure, Taiwo Aiyepe; Commercial Director, Sazak Acres Biloque Company (SABC), Emmanuel Adejo; Head of Data, Research and business analysis Spacefinish Africa, Martin Uche; Civil Engineer and Industry specialist, Yusuf Olaniyi and among others.
