Chelsea’s 3-1 win over Wolves on Monday night saw them climb into the the Premier League top four places again.
The Blues came into the home game desperate to end their five-game winless run.
And it was Enzo Maresca’s men who took the lead in the first half through Tosin Adarabioyo.
Adarabioyo pounced on a loose ball inside the area to slam it past Jose Sa. There was a brief wait for VAR to check the ball, after the linesman raised his flag to indicate offside.
With moments left in the first half, a Robert Sanchez blunder allowed Matt Doherty equalized for Wolves.
But two quick goals from Marc Cucurella and Noni Madueke ensured that Chelsea took all three points.
The result means Chelsea now have 40 points, four behind second-placed teams Arsenal and Nottingham Forest.
They are 10 points off leaders Liverpool.
Their next league fixture will be a tough fixture to champions Manchester City this weekend.
