Rangers forward, Cyriel Dessers believes the Light Blues can do “something special” in the UEFA Europa League this season.
Philippe Clement’s side claimed a place in the last 16 of the competition after a hard-earned 2-1 victory over Union Saint-Gillloise at Ibrox last month.
The Scottish Premiership giants fared well against Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United during the group stage.
Rangers held Tottenham to a draw and lost narrowly 2-1 to United at Old Trafford.
They will face one of FC Twente, Bodo/Glint, Fenerbahce or Anderlecht in the Round of 16 next month.
“We’re still competing in three competitions and I think the confidence that we got from the European games is huge, with getting to the top eight,” he told the club’s official website.
“So I think something special there is possible for the Europa League.”
