The Kano State Hisbah Board has apprehended ten individuals, including eight women and two men, for allegedly loitering at night in various parts of the state.
The arrests were made as part of the ongoing “Operation Clean Up” campaign aimed at promoting public order and maintaining environmental sanitation.
Speaking to journalists, the Acting Commander of Hisbah, Aminudden Mujahiddeen, disclosed that the individuals were arrested at Kofar Ruwa Motor Park, Airport Road, Sabon Gari, and other locations.
He revealed that some of those arrested are suspected of drug peddling and solicitation. “Some of them are not even from Kano. In fact, one of the women is not even Nigerian,” Mujahiddeen stated.
He assured the public that investigations are ongoing and that appropriate actions would be taken as part of efforts to maintain law and order in the state.
