Ndifreke Effiong has sealed a move back to the Iraqi League outfit, Newroz Sports club, DAILY POST reports.
Ndifreke previously played for Al-Naft SC and Al-Quwa-Al-Jaw in the Middle East.
He joined Newroz SC from Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, side, Rivers United.
The bulky striker has been unveiled by the club after a successful mandatory medical test.
Ndifreke registered four goals and one assist in 14 league matches for Rivers United this season.
The 26-year-old forward won the NPFL title with Akwa United in 2021.
He also won bronze medal with Nigeria’s U-23 team at the 2016 Olympics in Brazil.
