Former Military Head of State, Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida, IBB, on Thursday described President Bola Tinubu as the Asiwaju of the universe.
This was as IBB said Tinubu was Jagaban of the entire Niger State not just that of Borgu.
He disclosed this during the official launch of his memoir, ‘A Journey in Service,’ in Abuja.
“President Tinubu is Asiwaju of the universe and he’s not just the Jagaban of Borgu but Jagaban of the entire Niger State,” IBB said.
DAILY POST reported that the former military Head of State expressed regret for annulling the 1993 presidential election.
Babangida had described the election as free, fair, and credible.
He had said: “That accident of history is most regrettable. The nation is entitled to expect my impression of regret.
“As a leader of the military administration, I accept full responsibility for all decisions taken under my watch.
“And June 12 happened under my watch, mistakes, oversights and missteps happened in quick succession, but I say in my book, in all matters, we acted in the supreme national interest so that Nigeria could survive.”
