The United States, US President Donald Trump on Monday confirmed that Apple has concluded plans to invest $500 billion in the country over the next four years.
Trump made this known in a post on his official Truth Social account.
He wrote, “Apple has just announced a record 500 billion Dollars investment in the United States of America.
“The reason, faith in what we are doing without which they wouldn’t be investing ten cents. Thank you Tim Cook and Apple”.
Trump, who has consistently urged American companies to shift their production back home, expressed delight over the decision.
DAILY POST reports that the announcement came a few days after a meeting between the US President and Apple CEO, Tim Cook.
Reports said the Silicon Valley giant also confirmed plans to hire 20,000 new employees, marking its largest domestic investment to date.
