Starlink: Polish PM cautions against arrogance after Musk, Rubio spat with Sikorski

Poland’s Prime Minister, Donald Tusk has called on ‘friends’ to respect their allies a day after a very unusual spat between one of his most senior ministers and the US secretary of state Marco Rubio and American billionaire Elon Musk over Starlink technology.

Rubio had accused Poland’s foreign minister Radoslaw Sikorski of “making things up” after he said Ukraine may need to find an alternative to Musk’s Starlink satellite service.

He also claimed Poland was not grateful enough because without Starlink Russians would be on the border with Poland at the moment.

Musk then waded into the row, branding Sikorski a “small man”.

But on Monday, without naming anyone, Tusk alluded to the row in a tweet via his X account.

He wrote: “True leadership means respect for partners and allies.

“Even for the smaller and weaker ones. Never arrogance. Dear friends, think about it.”
