Troops nab notorious gunrunner in Kaduna sting operation, recover AK-47


Troops of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) have arrested a notorious gunrunner and suspected kidnapper, Blessed Paul, in Garaje Community, Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Paul, 22, had been on the wanted list of security agencies for his alleged involvement in arms trafficking and kidnapping.

After fleeing to Abuja to evade arrest, he was lured back under the guise of selling an AK-47 rifle for ₦1.5 million.

Unaware that his buyers were undercover troops, Paul walked into the trap and was swiftly apprehended. A search led to the recovery of one AK-47 rifle, an AK-47 magazine, and two rounds of 7.62mm (Special) ammunition.

The suspect is currently in military custody providing intelligence to aid further crackdowns on his criminal network.
