Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has named three things he likes about centre-back Ayden Heaven.
Recall that Heaven left Arsenal to join Man United in January this year.
He became the second youngster to swap the Gunners for Man United, following Chido Obi’s move last September.
Heaven was immediately added to Man United’s first-team squad, having managed just one senior appearance for Arsenal.
He came off the bench at half-time against his former club in his last Premier League outing, replacing the injured Leny Yoro.
Speaking about Heaven, Amorim said he admires the player’s confidence, pace, and ability to defend in the box.
“If he continues like that, he is going to play,” Amorim said at his pre-match press conference on Friday ahead of Man United’s Premier League clash with Leicester City on Sunday.
“Of course, he’s young. He didn’t play much this season—maybe just 45 minutes for the Under-21s, then a few minutes here, and now a full game.
“I really like his confidence, I like his pace, and I think he’s good at defending the box.
“He is quite complete, but he has a lot of work to do.
“In the Premier League, he will face a different kind of player and will be tested in different ways, so we are trying to manage this because he is still really young.”
