US military shoots down Houthi drones as Trump’s strike continues

United States warships have shot down roughly a dozen Houthi drones since President Donald Trump launched airstrikes against the terrorist organization on Saturday.

Fox News reports that a senior defense official disclosed the developments to it on Sunday.

According to the report, the official said that the drones were aimed at the US Navy’s Truman Carrier Strike Group, and were shot down “well before” they posed a serious threat.

The latest military action came after attacks from Houthis, both on commercial merchant vessels and US military ships.

DAILY POST reported that Trump ordered the US Military to launch decisive and powerful Military action against the Houthi terrorists in Yemen.

Trump re-designated the Houthis as a foreign terrorist organization (FTO) in January.

He had during his first administration named the Houthis as an FTO, but the ex-President Joe Biden’s administration later reversed the move.

The White House on Sunday released photos of Trump, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and National Security Adviser Mike Waltz monitoring the strikes.
