The Accountant-General of the Federation of Nigeria, Mr. Shamseldeen B. Ogunjimi, has vowed to utilise his predecessors’ experience in improving the country’s treasury.
Ogunjimi made this known on Tuesday in a statement by the spokesperson of the Office of the AOGF, Bawa Mokwa.
According to him, he would collaborate and tap from the wealth of experiences of all former Accountant Generals of the Federation to bring the nation’s treasury to a greater height.
Ogunjimi disclosed this while receiving two former Accountants-General of the Federation, Dr. John Naiyeju and Dr. Ibrahim Dankwambo, in his office in Abuja.
Speaking earlier, Dankwambo suggested the upgrading of the Treasury Academy, Orozo, owned by the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation (OAGF), to a degree awarding institute.
Also, Naiyeju charged the new Accountant-General to carry everyone along and advised him to make staff welfare his priority.
Recall that Ogunjimi resumed office recently after he was appointed by President Bola Tinubu.
