The English professional footballer, Cole Palmer who was an academy graduate of Manchester City, before making his debut for the club in 2020, the player was later sold to Chelsea for £42.5m.
Since the deal, the 21-year-old has scored 20 Premier League goals, sharing the joint-top scorer chart with highly rated former City teammate, Erling Haaland.
Chelsea boss, Mauricio Pochettino, has admitted he was not expecting Cole Palmer to have a big impact at Chelsea, ahead of the FA Cup semi finals.
Palmer scored four goals against Everton on 15 April to take his league tally to 20 for the season and is set to face his former side in their FA Cup semi-final on Saturday.
Speaking ahead of the FA semi-final clash between Chelsea and Man City at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, Pochettino said he’s surprised at how many goals Palmer has scored since moving to Stamford Bridge.
Talking to a journalists, the Argentine tactician said: “We believe they can perform but it is true he is performing in a very good way; maybe above expectation. I think it’s his first consistent season playing but we need to be careful because he is still young, he is growing, he needs to develop in different areas.
“But of course, he is far away from what we expected from the beginning. I need to be honest.”
