Euro 2024
As the second most watched international football tournament – falling only to the FIFA World Cup – the UEFA European Football Championship (Euro 2024) is set to be a grand spectacle.
The tournament kicks off on 14 June and will run for a month before wrapping up on 14 July. Three-time tournament winners Germany will host this year’s finals at Berlin’s 71,000-capacity Olympiastadion, with nine other cities hosting the rest of the games. The groups for the tournament are as follows:
Group A: Germany, Scotland, Hungary, Switzerland
Group B: Spain, Croatia, Italy, Albania
Group C: Slovenia, Denmark, Serbia, England
Group D: Poland, Netherlands, Austria, France
Group E: Belgium, Slovakia, Romania, Ukraine
Group F: Turkiye, Georgia, Portugal, Czechia
Tour de France 2024
With so much happening within French borders in the Olympic year, the 111th edition of the Tour De France must not be forgotten.
Starting in Florence, Italy and ending in the picturesque town of Nice in the south of France, the race will not be finishing in (or near) Paris for the very first time, as the end date falls on 21 July – just five days before the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games.
22 teams will take part in the race with Tadej Pogacar, Jonas Vingegaard and Remco Evenepoel among the favourites to win the Tour.
