Arsenal were forced to delete one of their social media posts and Man City couldn’t resist the chance to poke fun at their rivals.
Manchester City secured their fourth Premier League title in a row as Arsenal finished second in the standings for the second year in succession.
Ahead of this summer’s European Championship, the Gunners posted a statistic from their Premier League campaign which proved to be false.
Their official account on X posted a picture of star forward Bukayo Saka, who netted 16 goals and registered nine assists in the Premier League, claiming the England international was the only player in Premier League history to score or assist against every side that he has faced in the division (25).
However, that claim proved to be false and the post was swiftly deleted.
Manchester City forward Erling Haaland had already achieved that feat while Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane also holds the same record from his time at Tottenham.
City couldn’t resist the chance to poke fun at their rivals’ error and responded with a social media post of their own.
Their official X account posted a graphic of Haaland alongside the badges of all 22 Premier League sides he found the back of the net against during his time at the Etihad Stadium.

Man City fans on the platform were loving the cheeky gesture.
One fan said: “Lmao. Arsenal Football Club, proper banter club.”
Another added: “Bodied those liars Arsenal they have deleted the tweet.”
Before the end of the season, Saka highlighted his hunger and desire to continue to grow as a footballer and what he has learned in the last few years under Mikel Arteta.
“The hunger to win keeps me going, that’s why I keep getting up,” he told The Guardian.
“I’m physically much stronger than I was four or five years ago. For each tackle I have more experience in terms of which ones to go for and which ones to jump, to try to avoid a big tackle. So I’m much smarter as well.”
