2026 WCQ, African zone: Full results of Wednesday’s matches


Match Day 5 of the 2026 World Cup qualifier in the African zone kicked off on Wednesday night.

In Group D, Cameroon were held to a shock 0-0 draw by minnows, Eswatini in Nelspruit, South Africa.

It was first point of the series for Eswatini, after they had lost all four of their previous fixtures.

For the Indomitable Lions, they remain top with nine points, despite failing to win.

Tunisia won 1-0 at Liberia, with Hazem Mastouri grabbing the winner in the fourth minute of the encounter.

The win means Tunisia maintain top spot and now have 13 points, while Liberia are third on seven points.

In the third game played on Wednesday, Madagascar thrashed Central African Republic, CAR, 4-1.

The victory keeps them top of Group I with 10 points.
