The Kano State Chapter of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has expressed sorrow over the tragic loss of lives in Saturday’s tanker explosion at Dikko Junction, Gurara Local Government Area, Niger State.

Death toll from the incident has climbed to 86.
Efforts to recover and lay the victims to rest are being coordinated by the Niger State Emergency Management Agency, with support from compassionate volunteers.
In a condolence message to the government and people of Niger State, the ACF Kano Chairman, Dr. Goni Farouk Umar, described the tragedy as a national calamity.
He thanked Almighty Allah that the disaster did not extend to nearby communities and urged Nigerians to pray for the souls of the departed.
Dr. Farouk commended the swift response of the Niger State authorities and appealed for immediate federal assistance to support the families affected by this devastating incident.
