Arsenal hope to sign ‘phenomenal’ 30-goal striker for bargain price

Arsenal are likely to be busy over the coming weeks as Edu and Mikel Arteta look to strengthen their ranks ahead of next season.

The Gunners have made significant progress under Arteta over the past few years and will be eager to continue building a squad that can win major trophies.

A striker is likely to be near the top of Arsenal’s transfer agenda. The Gunners don’t currently have an out-and-out No. 9 in their ranks.

A report has now emerged claiming the Gunners are looking at a 30-goal forward who could be available for a bargain price.

According to BILD, Arsenal are in the race to sign Stuttgart star Serhou Guirassy, alongside Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan.

The report claims Guirassy can leave the Bundesliga side for a ‘bargain price’ of €18-20million this summer, which makes him ‘in demand’.

Guirassy is unlikely to stay even though he and his family are happy in Stuttgart, added the report.

He reportedly earns €3million per year and his salary would increase if he were to join the Gunners or Chelsea.

In addition, the report noted how Guirassy wants to have clarity over his future before the end of June.

Arsenal will fancy their chances of signing Serhou Guirassy

The Guinea international seems like a good shout for Arsenal as an option to provide an attacking outlet and break down solid defences.

Guirassy’s 30-goal haul last season – including 28 in the Bundesliga – propelled Stuttgart to second place and a spot in the Champions League.

He’s ‘powerful‘, talented, prolific, in his prime years, can be snapped up for a bargain price, and his salary demands should be easy for the Gunners to meet.

Let’s see what happens in the coming weeks. Arsenal will certainly fancy their chances of signing the ‘phenomenal‘ striker.
