Barcelona Atletic are set to play Cordoba in the promotion play-off final to decide who will be promoted to the Second Division
Rafa Marquez’s side made it through after a rollercoaster of a tie with Ibiza that resulted in a 7-4 aggregate win for the Catalans.
The Mexican coach was very proud of his team after the victory at the weekend.
“We are a very united group, with personality and character,” he said. “I feel very proud of the entire team. It’s not easy to achieve what we’re doing with such a young team.”

They now face a Cordoba side who beat Ponferradina 2-1 in the semi-finals (3-1 on aggregate) to book a final date with Barca Atletic.
The first leg is scheduled for the weekend of the Sunday, 16th June at the Estadi Johan Cruyff and the second at El Arcángel a week later.
It’s a tough match-up for Barca Atletic as they come up against a side that finished second in Group 2 and were in La Liga as recently as the 2014-15 season.
Barcelona Atletic will be able to welcome Mikayil Faye back for the games after he missed the semi-final clash after being called up by Senegal.
