Democracy Day: We’ve Turned Economy Around, Nigerians Will Soon Reap Benefits, Wale Edun Promises

Nigeria’s Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, has assured Nigerians that better days are imminent as the country experiences significant economic improvements under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership.

Edun said this in an interview with ARISE NEWS on Wednesday at the Democracy Day celebration at the Eagle’s square in Abuja.

“The message to Nigerians is that here is hope for better days to come and in a very near future. We are on the right track and have turned the economy around, and now the benefits are about to be felt by Nigerians,” Edun stated.

He emphasised the administration’s commitment to ensuring the benefits are felt by the citizens, noting that the nation’s reserves have been opened up and food distribution is actively underway.

“There is tremendous focus on food production. That is the key area to focus on now because the economy has been put on track. People must feel it and must feel it soon,” Edun said, underscoring the urgency and importance of tangible improvements in citizens’ daily lives”

Edun, while describing president Tinubu as “a man of the people and from the grassroots,” said he is fully aware of the needs of the people and is committed to ensuring that the economic turnaround translates into real benefits for all Nigerians.
