Egbin Power has reiterated its commitment to fostering and promoting academic excellence and sustainable development in host communities through its yearly scholarship programme.
The company made this known in a statement made available to The Guardian yesterday, noting that the 9th edition of the initiative welcomed a new cohort of beneficiaries, reinforcing the company’s dedication to supporting the educational aspirations of children in its host communities.
Egbin Power stressed that the programme aligns with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4), which provides access to inclusive, equitable, and quality education, contributing to learning opportunities for children and youths.
The company emphasised that by bridging the gap between potential and opportunity, the scholarship programme empowers the next generation of leaders, innovators, and change-makers, who will drive sustainable development in Nigeria and beyond.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Egbin Power, Mokhtar Bounour, emphasised the impact of the scholarship over the years.noting that it has empowered students to achieve academic excellence, building the confidence necessary to unlock their full potential.

In the Best Teacher Category, Zamide, Ebipamokemenumigha of Community Primary School 2, Agbere, emerged as the best teacher in Sagbama Local Council; Johnson Siane from Biseni Central School emerged the best for Yenagoa Local Council; while Aluku Abbah from State School 2, Ologoghe and Jimmy Rose from Community Primary School 1, Sabagreia, emerged the best teachers from Ogbia and Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Councils, respectively.
