There will be a couple of interesting fixtures to look forward to in the Premier League this weekend.
The game of this round will see Manchester United welcome Chelsea on Sunday.
But before then, there will be important fixtures on Saturday, all around the UK.
So, which games are we likely to see upset?
1. Newcastle vs Arsenal: An early kick-off on Saturday is typically a recipe of surprise results. And St James Park is where Arsenal suffered their first defeat of last season. Mikel Arteta’s men have already lost this campaign. And it was 1-0 away at Bournemouth. This is one game they cannot afford to drop points, with their title rivals already pulling away.
2. Bournemouth vs Man City: Following a 2-1 defeat at Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup in midweek, Pep Guardiola claimed he has only 13 fit first-team players. If this is the case ahead of their trip to the Vitality Stadium, then City would barely have a starting XI to field. And Bournemouth will be rubbing their palms in glee.
3. Liverpool vs Brighton: These two teams played each other in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday. Liverpool edged a 3-2 win at the Amex, in what was a thrilling affair. This time around, the league fixture will be played at Anfield, where Arne Slot’s men have already lost to Nottingham Forest. You would expect Brighton to have a go again and perhaps cause an upset.
4. Spurs vs Aston Villa: Ange Postecoglou’s men recorded a 2-1 win over Manchester City in the Carabao Cup in midweek. So it does seem they are in the mood to beat top teams. This time around, Aston Villa will be the visitors to the Tottenham Stadium. If you are betting man, put money on a couple of goals in this one.
