Controversial British broadcaster, Piers Morgan has told Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta that the Gunners is going backwards under his tenure.
Morgan said this in a tweet via his X account after Arsenal were defeated 1-0 against West Ham United in the Premier League at the weekend.
He also urged Arteta to ‘stop being so damn stubborn’ and sign a world-class striker for Arsenal.
Arsenal are currently 11 points behind leaders Liverpool after their latest defeat to West Ham.
“Dear Mikel Arteta… we’re now going backwards under your tenure because of your bizarre refusal to sign a world class striker,” Morgan wrote on X.
“To help focus your mind, we need one with the calibre of these guys below. So, for God’s sake, stop being so damn stubborn and get us one.”
The guys Morgan refered to are Thierry Henry, Robin van Persie, Ian Wright, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Nicolas Anelka and Dennis Bergkamp.
They all played for Arsenal during their early professional career in the past.
