EPL: None of my business – Guardiola on De Bruyne’s soon to expire contract

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has said Kevin De Bruyne’s contract expiring in June this year is none of his business.

Speaking to the media on Friday, Guardiola insisted the Premier League club would decide if to extend the Belgian’s deal or not.

De Bruyne was heavily linked with a move to Saudi Arabia last summer but ended up staying into the final months of his current deal.

So far, there has been no negotiations over fresh terms and De Bruyne is free to speak with other clubs from this month.

“It’s up to the club. It’s not my business,” Guardiola said.

“It’s about how he’s going to perform until the end of the season, the age that he has, and many things.

“I think the club has to think about it”.
