Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola has lauded three Arsenal players for their performances in Sunday’s Premier League tie between both teams.
Guardiola said the likes of Ben White, William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhães defended really good against Man City.
Recall that Erling Haaland gave the Cityzens the lead early in the first half.
Riccardo Calafiori and Gabriel Magalhães then put Mikel Arteta’s side in front before half time.
Arsenal were then reduced to 10-men after Leandro Trossard’s red card.
But a late stoppage time goal from John Stones ensured Man City and Arsenal played a 2-2 draw at Etihad Stadium.
“Congratulations to Arsenal for being so strong mentally to block for a long, long time. That is not easy but we were patient,” Guardiola said at his post-match interview.
“After, 10 against 11 is [a] different [game]. They defended so deep and we can cross but it’s not easy with [Ben] White, Gabriel, [William] Saliba. They defend really good.”
