Wolves manager, Vitor Pereira has suggested why his team defeated Manchester United 2-0 in the Premier League on Boxing Day.
Two goals from Matheus Cunha and Hwang Hee-chan gave Wolves the victory over Ruben Amorim’s side at Molineux.
Speaking after the game, Pereira suggested that the spirit of the team gave Wolves an edge over United.
According to him, his players suffered together as a team against the visitors, competing and fighting for each ball.
“It is a fantastic feeling because of the spirit of the team. We can see that the players suffer together,” Pereira said at his post-match interview.
“They are ready to run, to fight, to compete for each ball, and this is the click for confidence.
“I feel that they have confidence to play, to win the duels, this is the most important for me. I feel the energy of the supporters and the atmosphere is special here. I’m very happy inside.”
