The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has apprehended two armed robbery suspects and recovered a stolen Toyota Corolla (2017 model) with registration number 01C 11 NS. The vehicle had been snatched at gunpoint at Kabusa Junction, Apo.
According to intelligence sources, the arrest followed a distress call received around 10:15 p.m. from Ayuba Wandai Usman of Plot 1980, Apo Resettlement, who reported that his sister’s car had been taken by three armed men.
Upon receiving the report, police operatives swiftly tracked the stolen vehicle to an uncompleted building on Oladipupo Diya Street, Durumi. Upon arrival, officers found two suspects attempting to dismantle the car. The men tried to flee but were swiftly pursued and apprehended.
A subsequent police raid of the uncompleted building led to the arrest of ten males and three females, along with the recovery of various tools suspected to be used in criminal activities.
Police sources confirmed that the stolen vehicle, which had already been tampered with, was towed to the station for further investigation. The suspects are currently providing critical information to aid ongoing inquiries.
Authorities have reassured the public of their commitment to tackling crime in the FCT, urging residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities.
