Force’ Ending Starz, More Projects to Come

The upcoming third season of “Power Book IV: Force” will be its last, according to star Joseph Sikora. But the actor, who leads the show as Tommy Egan, also seems to be teasing that a new project could come to the “Power” universe soon.

With “Power Book II: Ghost” having just entered its fourth and final season, the only current “Power” series continuing at Starz is “Book III: Raising Kanan,” which was renewed for a fifth season in March. (The original “Power” concluded in 2020.) However, a new prequel series titled “Origins” was also set up at the cabler in March following the announcement that “Force” showrunner Gary Lennon had extended his deal with Lionsgate Television to continue working on the franchise.

In a video posted across Starz, ‘Power’ and Sikora’s Instagram pages, Sikora said, “When Gary Lennon and the other writers and I were mapping out our third season, we saw that we were telling a complete story, and that this was the perfect opportunity to stay true to our artistic vision and make this the final chapter in Tommy’s journey in Chicago.”

Speaking to the camera while walking through the show’s set, he continued: “But don’t worry. Tommy’s journey is far from over with. We’re just getting warmed up, and I can’t wait to show you what we have planned next. I want to give a big shout out to all the players: the cast, the crew from ‘Power Book IV: Force,’ and tell you to tune in. Because ghosts never die, and power never ends.”

“Power Book IV: Force” was renewed for Season 3 in December after the conclusion of Season 2 the month prior. Executive producers include Lennon; franchise creator Courtney A. Kemp for End of Episode; Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson through G-Unit Film and Television; Mark Canton through Atmosphere Entertainment MM; Terri Kopp; and Chris Selak. Lionsgate is the studio.
