Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman Abdulrazaq has expressed sorrow over the passing of Alhaji Musa Mayaki, a prominent APC chieftain, and Alhaji Hanafi Ologbin, the Alangua of Adewole.
This was contained in a statement by Rafiu Ajakaye, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, on Sunday.
According to the statement, Mayaki, was a respected politician and community leader and also close ally of the Governor, while Alhaji Ologbin served as the traditional chief of Adewole Ward in Ilorin West Local Government Area, the Governor’s home ward.
Describing their deaths as a personal loss, Governor Abdulrazaq said the two statesmen made lasting contributions to their communities and to the Ilorin Emirate.
“I mourn the passing of these great men who dedicated their lives to the service of their people. Their wisdom, leadership, and impact will be greatly missed,” the Governor stated.
He extended his condolences to the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, and the bereaved families, praying for divine mercy upon the departed.
