Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has vacated the Government House in Port Harcourt along with his family and security details.
Reports indicate that Fubara left the premises on Wednesday morning.
Meanwhile, the security presence at the Government House remains minimal, with a small number of security operatives on the ground.
Despite the development, activities in Port Harcourt remain normal, as residents continue with their daily routines.
On Tuesday, President Tinubu declared a state of emergency in Rivers State, citing the non-functionality of the legislative arm of government as the reason for his decision.
He appointed Retired Vice-Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas to take over the administrative functions of the state.
