United States President Donald Trump has hit out at federal judges who have blocked efforts by the Elon Musk-run Department of Government Efficiency, DOGE, to root out waste in the government.
DAILY POST reports that a US District Judge Paul Engelmayer, had blocked Musk and his team from accessing certain government systems.
Engelmayer issued the ruling after a group of attorneys general sued Musk’s DOGE last Friday.
The attorneys argued that the presidential commission does not have the right to access US Department of Treasury systems.
Speaking about the development, Trump said highly political judges want to stop DOGE’s efforts, having already found billions of dollars in fraud, waste, and abuse.
“Billions of Dollars of FRAUD, WASTE, AND ABUSE have already been found in the investigation of our incompetently run Government,” Trump wrote on Truth Social about DOGE.
“Now certain activists and highly political judges want us to slow down, or stop,” he wrote. “Losing this momentum will be very detrimental to finding the TRUTH, which is turning out to be a disaster for those involved in running our Government. Much left to find. No Excuses!!!”
Meanwhile, Musk, leader of DOGE, had already labelled a federal judge’s ruling blocking his team from accessing certain government systems as ‘absolutely insane.’
Musk condemned the order in a tweet via his X account on Saturday.
