Silva Mexes Tyler-Earnshaw has completed his move to Manchester United from the Ipswich Town academy.
The 14-year-old is the son of former Wales international Robert Earnshaw and he took to social media to announce the completion of the move.
Going by the name Silva Mexes, the youngster typically plays as a right winger.
His father also took to Twitter to express his delight at his son’s accomplishment saying, “This is really really special.”
“I am so so proud. He has worked hard & it’s such a blessing to see him find his passion and make this journey. I love you son.
“I am your number one fan. I will support you in any way possible and I know you have the qualities. Go be GREAT.”

The youngster posted, “Very proud moment for me and my family to announce my signing for @manchesterunited. Thank you for everyone who has helped me on my journey so far. The work starts now.”
Not just a talent on the football pitch, Silva Mexes is also an accomplished track & field athlete, winning a gold medal at the Essex county competitions and claiming on Instagram that he ran the 100m in just 11.2 seconds last year.
Following in the footsteps of his father, Silva Mexes has achieved one dream of Robert Earnshaw’s by joining United, the club his father supported as a child.
A Wales international with 59 caps and 16 goals, Earnshaw knows exactly what it takes for his son to carve out a successful career in the game.
Silva Mexes will join Kai Rooney and Jacey Carrick in the United U15s next season.
The first of many, United’s academy recruitment drive will now begin to kick into next gear as the summer approaches with a number of further recruitments poised to take place.
