An Israeli delegation of “working-level” negotiators has departed for Qatar to participate in ongoing talks concerning a potential hostage-ceasefire deal in the Gaza Strip, according to a report by Channel 12.
The delegation’s departure follows approval from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who announced the decision on Thursday.
Meanwhile, representatives from Hamas are also expected to arrive in Doha to resume discussions.
Recent reports indicate that the negotiations have hit a deadlock, raising concerns over the progress of efforts to secure the release of hostages and address broader ceasefire terms.
The talks, facilitated by Qatari mediators, are part of an international push to de-escalate tensions in the region and provide humanitarian relief to affected areas.
Both sides have yet to provide official statements on the current status of the negotiations.
