Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar A. Namadi, has lifted the suspension of his Special Adviser on Salary and Pension, Bashir Ado Kazaure, with immediate effect.
This was announced in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Malam Bala Ibrahim.
According to the statement, the decision follows a thorough investigation conducted by a committee chaired by the State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Bello Abdulkadir Fanini.
“The committee’s report addressed the circumstances surrounding Kazaure’s suspension, which was imposed due to a premature announcement regarding a proposed N70,000 minimum wage,” the SSG stated.
He further emphasized that the decision to lift the suspension underscores Governor Namadi’s commitment to fairness and due process in handling administrative matters.
DAILY POST reported that Bashir Ado stated that the Jigawa State Government has approved the N70,000 minimum wage for the state workforce.
However, the statement about the proposed wage increase, made without official authorization, led to his suspension.
