Jigawa State Government has disowned a fraudulent scheme circulating on social media under the name “Business Starting Loan,” which falsely bears the picture of His Excellency, Governor Malam Umar Namadi.
In a statement issued to DAILY POST, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Media, Malam Garba Al-Hadejawy, categorically dismissed the program as fake.
He said the scheme had no connection whatsoever with the Jigawa State Government or Governor Namadi.
He explained that the false scheme was the work of fraudsters attempting to mislead citizens and tarnish the governor’s reputation.
According to the statement, “The public is urged to disregard this scheme, which is the work of fraudsters attempting to mislead citizens and tarnish the governor’s reputation.”
Al-Hadejawy reiterated the state government’s commitment to genuine empowerment programs, particularly in agriculture and trade, as part of his administration’s agenda.
The government warned the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the relevant authorities.
