Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has officially sworn in Arc Ibrahim Yakubu Wudil as the new Commissioner for Housing and Transport.
The oath of office was administered by the state’s Attorney General, Barrister Haruna Isa Dederi, at the Government House in Kano.
Governor Yusuf urged the new commissioner to apply his extensive experience in advancing the state’s development, particularly in managing Kwankwassiya, Bandirawo, and Amana cities, which were established during the administration of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
He expressed confidence in Arc Yakubu’s capabilities, highlighting his previous role as Managing Director of KNUPDA and his decades of experience as an architect.
“I’ve worked closely with him for decades, and I know his capacity. I’m sure he will not let us down,” the governor stated.
Governor Yusuf also tasked the commissioner with addressing Kano’s housing deficit and ensuring effective urban planning and transport management.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by the Secretary to the State Government, commissioners, and other top government officials.
