LaLiga: Vinicius Jr breaks silence after red card against Valencia

Real Madrid winger, Vinicius Junior, has apologized after receiving a red card in their comeback win against Valencia on Friday.

The champions won the first LaLiga fixture of 2025 at the Mestalla.

Hugo Duro put the hosts ahead in the first half, before a dramatic second half saw Jude Bellingham miss a penalty and Kylian Mbappé’s goal disallowed for offside.

Vinícius was given his marching orders for hitting Valencia keeper Stole Dimitrievski.

But substitute Luka Modric levelled for Madrid in the 85th minute and Bellingham scored a dramatic added-time winner.

The result means Madrid go ahead of Atlético Madrid at the top of the LaLiga table, two points clear of their rivals and having played a game more.

“Sorry, and thanks team!!!!!!” Vinícius posted on X after the match.
