Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has presented the staff and instrument of office to the reappointed Eleruwa of Eruwa, Oba Samuel Adebayo Adegbola.
The presentation of the two items was done on Thursday at the governor’s office in Ibadan, the state capital.
DAILY POST reports that the state government had on Tuesday announced the appointment of Adegbola as the new Eleruwa of Eruwa in Ibarapa East Local Government Area.
Our correspondent reports that Adegbola had earlier served as Eleruwa of Eruwa for 21 years.
He was installed in 1998 but was later deposed on November 29, 2019, following a Supreme Court judgment.
However, DAILY POST reports that Makinde, on Thursday, presented the staff and instrument of office to the reappointed traditional ruler.
The presentation was witnessed by the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Edward Ogundoyin, who is also from the town.
Others in attendance included the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Ademola Ojo, and Adegbola’s wives, Caroline and Oyefunke.
