Man United beat Arsenal 5-3 on penalties to progress to next round


Manchester United clinched a spot in the FA Cup fourth round with a dramatic penalty shootout win over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

The match concluded 1-1 after extra time, leading to a tense shootout where Manchester United triumphed 5-3.

The scoring began in the 55th minute when Bruno Fernandes gave Manchester United the lead with a well-taken shot.

Arsenal responded quickly, equalizing through Gabriel five minutes later.

Things then changed in the 68th minute when Diogo Dalot of Manchester United was shown a second yellow card, reducing his team to ten players.

Despite the numerical disadvantage, Manchester United held firm, even after Arsenal’s Martin Odegaard missed a crucial penalty in extra time, saved by Altay Bayindir.

The match proceeded to penalties where Kai Havertz’s miss for Arsenal was vital; Joshua Zirkzee then scored the decisive penalty for United.
