NNL: Gateway United vow to come back stronger after poor first stanza


Gateway United have assured the club’s supporters that the team will bounce back stronger in the second half the season.

The Abeokuta-based club recorded two wins, one draw and seven defeats in the first stanza of the league.

Gateway United finished bottom of Group B with seven points.

Festus Allen’s side suffered a 1-0 defeat in the last game of the first stanza against Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS FC) in Ilorin on Saturday.

“First half of the season complete. We’ll be back stronger in the second stanza, Thank you for your support.” Gateway United wrote on their Facebook page.

The second stanza will commence later in the month.
