NPFL restores players’ licenses of seven clubs


The Nigeria Premier Football League has restored the licenses of newly registered players of seven clubs from the nine defaulters.

The clubs are Enyimba, Plateau United, El-Kanemi Warriors, Bayelsa United, Lobi Stars, Akwa United and Heartland.

The NPFL Chief Operating Officer, Davidson Owumi disclosed this in a statement sent to the clubs.

Owumi commended the clubs for complying swiftly with the requirements, which will enable them to play to their full strength.

The NPFL pointed out that Akwa United’s licenses were restored on the directive of the NFF pending ongoing further investigations into their case.

Abia Warriors, Katsina United, and Kwara United are yet to comply with the directives.

DAILY POST recalls that the licenses of newly registered players of nine teams in the NPFL were withdrawn following their unresolved indebtedness to players.
