Former U.S. Marine Paul Whelan spent more than five years detained in Russia before he was released in August in one of the biggest prisoner swaps since the Cold War era. NBC News’ Andrea Mitchell spoke one-on-one with Whelan about his life in Russian captivity, including the moment that nearly broke him.
