Kaduna State Police Command has rescued two kidnapped victims following a swift security operation in the Nariya area of the state.
The rescue operation, which took place in the early hours of Monday, was confirmed in a post by security analyst Zagazola Makama on X (formerly Twitter).
According to Makama, the victims, Idris Ahmed (14) and Isah Ahmed (21), were freed at about 1:25 a.m. on March 10, 2025, after security forces mounted sustained pressure on the kidnappers.
“The kidnappers, sensing imminent arrest, abandoned their hostages and fled,” Makama wrote, adding that the victims were rescued unharmed.
A police source confirmed the development, stating that security personnel immediately cordoned off the surrounding areas to track down the fleeing suspects.
“We are intensifying efforts to apprehend the kidnappers and ensure the safety of residents,” the officer said.
