Presidential CNG Initiative CEO visits Dana DFM plant in Lagos

The Chief Executive Officer of the Presidential CNG Initiative (PCNGi), Engr. Michael Oluwagbemi, on Thursday visited the auto assembly and conversion centre of Dana Motors in Isolo, Lagos.
The visit was aimed at strengthening the partnership between PCNGi and Dana Motors in promoting Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicles in the country.
Apart from being equipped to professionally render conversion services that enable diesel and petrol engine vehicles to run on autogas (CNG and LNG), the plant is currently assembling CNG buses of DFM brand.
The DFM commercial bus variants whose seating capacities range between 15/17 and 45, are being produced at the plant as part of the partnership between PCNGI and Daba Motors by which the latter is currently producing hundreds of DFM commercial buses in line with President Bola Tinubu’s CNG Initiative.
Recently, the President, represented by the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, commissioned the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) Kia Portland facility for Kia Hybrid and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Vehicles and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) in Abuja
Located within Kia premises in Utako area of Abuja, the centre offers comprehensive training programmes for technicians, engineers, and other stakeholders, promoting the adoption of green energy solutions across the nation.
This initiative is expected to significantly reduce vehicular emissions, contributing to cleaner air and a healthier environment.
