Real Madrid 'agree terms' with another stunning signing to join Kylian Mbappe at the Bernabeu

After already confirming the signing of Kylian Mbappe, Real Madrid are building a superteam.

Real Madrid have reportedly reached an agreement to sign another top European talent to their Champions League winning side.

Having already won La Liga for the 36th time, Real Madrid secured a historic 15th Champions League with a 2-0 victory over Dortmund at the beginning of June.

Despite this, many fans have pointed out the lack of a dedicated striker at the club since the departure of Karim Benzema last season.

This led Madrid to the signing of star striker Kylian Mbappe following the expiration of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

The 25-year-old, who scored 44 goals in 48 appearances this season, has been a long-term target of the Spanish champions, with the talented Frenchman desperate for the move after being a lifelong supporter of the club.

And according to Marca, their desires to build one of the best teams in the history of the sport do not end there, with talented German youngster Florian Wirtz their next target.

While an agreement between the 21-year-old and German champions Beyer Leverkusen keeps the midfielder at the club this summer, Madrid have reportedly agreed personal terms with Wirtz for a move in 2025.

Should the move be completed, Wirtz will take over from Jude Bellingham as the attacking midfield player, with the Englishman being pushed further back into an interior position.

This would likely be Madrid’s plan to replace Toni Kroos, who left the club after this season’s champions league final.

With a reported price tag in the region of €150m, the transfer would break the record for the biggest sale in the Bundesliga, beating Ousmane Dembele who joined Barcelona from Borussia Dortmund for €135m in 2017/18.

But Wirtz could be more than worth the price tag after he enjoyed a breakout season with Beyer Leverkussen, who won two trophies this season.

The German youngster scored 18 goals and assisted 20 in 49 appearances this season and is seen as an integral part of Xabi Alonso’s side.

Furthermore, Wirtz will likely play a significant role in Germany’s Euro 2024 campaign as the hosts head into the tournament as one of the favourites to lift the trophy.
