Russia vs Ukraine: I’m ready to work with Trump, sign strong deal – Zelenskyy

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has expressed readiness to work under the leadership of U.S. President Donald Trump and agree to a “strong deal.”

Zelenskyy said he would work with Trump to end the war between Russia and Ukraine.

Posting on X, the Ukrainian president said the first step to achieving this move is the release of prisoners and the banning of missiles, long-range drones, and bombs from Russia.

According to Zelenskyy: “My team and I stand ready to work under President Trump’s strong leadership to get a peace that lasts.

“We are ready to work fast to end the war, and the first stages could be the release of prisoners and a truce in the sky — a ban on missiles, long-range drones, and bombs on energy and other civilian infrastructure — and a truce in the sea immediately, if Russia will do the same.

“Then we want to move very fast through all next stages and to work with the U.S. to agree on a strong final deal.

“We do really value how much America has done to help Ukraine maintain its sovereignty and independence.

“And we remember the moment when things changed when President Trump provided Ukraine with Javelins. We are grateful for this.”

A few days ago, Zelenskyy traveled to Washington with the aim of signing a mineral deal with Trump.

However, the deal was scuttled as the meeting between Trump, Zelenskyy, and Vice President JD Vance ended in a heated argument, and no headway was made.

The deal was meant to pave the way for a peace agreement with Russia.
