Serie A: Chukwueze lauds AC Milan’s hard-earned win over Udinese

Samuel Chukwueze praised his AC Milan teammates after the team’s hard-earned victory over Udinese at the San Siro on Saturday night.

Chukwueze scored the winning goal as Paulo Fonseca’s side cruised to a 1-0 win over the visitors.

It was the Nigeria international’s first goal at the San Siro since his arrival at AC Milan from LaLiga outfit, Villarreal last summer.

The Rooseneri played majority of the game with 10-men after Tijjani Reijnders received a straight red card for a foul on Sandi Lovric in the 29th minute.

“It was very nice. It was a good game for the team,” said the Nigerian winger after the game.

“We defended well, and the team spirit was good. We needed this win. Now, we focus on Tuesday’s game.”

The goal was Chukwueze’s first in nine outings across all competitions for AC Milan this season.

The 25-year-old said it was good moment for him and the team.

“It’s a very good feeling to score and win this game. I think it’s very important for us, the coach, and our confidence, so we need to push for more targets.”
