Super Eagles defender, Ola Aina, has revealed that winning a trophy with the national team would be the best thing that will happen to him as a footballer.
The Nottingham Forest star was part of the Super Eagles squad that came close to winning the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, title in February 2024.
Recall that Nigeria lost 2-1 against Ivory Coast in the 2023 AFCON final.
Speaking to Dangolo ahead of the Super Eagles’ 2025 AFCON qualifier with Libya on Friday, the Nottingham Forest said:
“It’s a privilege to play for the Super Eagles. It’s a dream for a lot of Nigerians. To be selected is a privilege so I’m always happy.
“I want to win a trophy with the national team, whatever trophy, World Cup or Africa Cup of Nations.
“I think winning a trophy with the Super Eagles and with this team that we have now will be the best thing.”
