Monaco is unique in many ways. The 3.3km street circuit is the shortest on the calendar with the lowest average speed of all circuits in F1. It even requires its own special sporting regulation to limit the total race distance to 260km rather than the 305km for other circuits.

The difficulties of overtaking and effect of traffic in the race are well known, but what about qualifying?
