Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar has said that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration has succeeded in redeeming the image of the country abroad.
Tuggar disclosed this on Thursday at the Ministerial Press Conference in Abuja.
According to him, Nigeria’s foreign policy under President Tinubu’s government was positioned to ensure zero humiliation of Nigerians abroad.
He also highlighted the successful repatriation of funds as an achievement of the Tinubu administration under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“We have succeeded in redeeming Nigeria’s image abroad under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government.
“The government has zero tolerance for the humiliation of Nigerians abroad,” he stated.
He cited examples of the government securing the release of Nigerians detained for years over immigrant issues.
“Jersey Odey, who was locked up in a country despite instruction to have him released. It was until the Bola Ahmed Tinubu government that he was released. He is back home, and many more,” he stated.
